Full-time Internist Opportunity at United Medical Associates

We are actively seeking a dynamic and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician (Internist) to join our expanding Health Center.

We are committed to improving the well-being of our diverse community, and we value the impact of exceptional healthcare on the lives of our patients. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to those in need and promoting preventive health measures.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional on-call responsibilities shared among the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Examines patients, orders or performs appropriate diagnostic tests, formulates diagnosis, directs or performs appropriate therapeutic treatment, and counsels patients
  • Counsels patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive health care with accountability for clinical outcomes.
  • Provides patient medical follow-up and assists specialists in providing treatment for such patients.
  • Consult with an appropriate medical specialist when necessary; refer the patient to subspecialists when indicated
  • Ensure performance improvement initiatives are supported with timely and accurate data and consistent actions
  • Provides medical supervision to assigned staff or nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical residents, students, and other paraprofessionals.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Valid and unrestricted MD license in the state of practice
  • 3+ years of experience in internal medicine
  • Completed internship and residency training from an approved medical facility
  • Board certified or board eligible by a specialty board
  • Must have a strong focus on wellness and prevention, effective communication skills, compassion for engaging patients, and EMR experience

Salary:

$280,000 and $300,000 per year base salary DOE plus bonus and full benefits + paid malpractice
