Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient facility located in Galveston, Texas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including analyzing medical histories and physical findings to make informed diagnoses based on Oriental medicine traditions.
• Develop and administer individualized treatment plans that utilize acupuncture tools such as needles, cups, ear balls, and nutritional supplements.
• Educate patients on a variety of wellness topics, including meditation, stress management, exercise, and nutrition, reinforcing their understanding of the healing process.
• Apply heat or cold therapy effectively to enhance treatment outcomes using various materials such as heat pads, compresses, and hydro collator packs.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve patient health and recovery.
• Stay informed about acupuncture techniques and maintain a commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Acupuncture or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and unrestricted license to practice acupuncture in Texas.
• Certification through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) is mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in an acupuncture or healthcare setting is desired.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using additional modalities such as cupping and herbal medicine.
• Previous work within an integrated healthcare setting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) for maintaining patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
