The group provides intervention to neurodiverse children from 12 months through the 18 years, with continuity of care into adulthood. We are seeking an experienced consultant to lead client caseloads for in-home, clinic-based, and/or community-based teams, supervise team members implementing programming and behavior intervention strategies, collaborate with relevant providers, coach parents and teachers in strategies to improve their interactions and teaching with their child/student, and develop behavior analytic and developmentally appropriate programming and behavior intervention treatment plans. Consultants serve clients across the life span (i.e., birth-adulthood) in a variety of settings (clinic, home, school, community and via telehealth).

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop behavior analytic and naturalistic skill acquisition programming and behavior support treatment plans 
  • Supervise team members implementing programming and behavior intervention strategies  
  • Coach and train parents and teachers in strategies to improve their interactions and teaching with their child/student  
  • Provide 1:1 therapy to children and adults in a variety of settings including the clinic, office, home and community, focusing on instruction in the natural environment  
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors 
  • Keep each learner engaged in motivating, naturalistic, intensive therapy throughout sessions 
  • Collect data daily during all treatment sessions 
  • Monitor student progress to make modifications to instruction, programming, or behavior plans 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide uniform, high-quality treatment  
  • Lead team-meetings for all clients 
  • Summarize progress and outline clinical recommendations for authorization reports for client’s funder 
  • Participate in funder peer reviews and/or draft language to support clinical recommendations
  • Conduct trainings or workshops for staff on a variety of related topics 
  • May supervise employees who are BACB candidates and/or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) 
  • Hours of therapy may range between 8am-7pm Monday-Friday, flexible schedule available to meet your scheduling needs. 
  • ESDM Specific Responsibilities: In order to lead or co-lead a case appropriate for an ESDM approach (ages birth-5), the following are required 
  1. Must meet fidelity in model implementation.
  2. Develop proficiency in being a play partner and using naturalistic language strategies.
  3. Demonstrate ability to set up joint activity routines (JARs) in a 4-part structure 
  4. Independently complete ESDM checklist assessment and select meaningful objectives 
  5. Be certified or in the process of pursing certification in ESDM 
  6. Ability to write programming (skill acquisition and behavior support) at a developmentally appropriate level using naturalistic teaching strategies and ESDM format 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

What We Need:  

  • 5+ years working with a neurodiverse population of children
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification 
  • Hold a master's degree in psychology, education, communication disorders, special education, behavior analysis or a related field 
  • Willingness to learn new therapeutic skills, focusing on naturalistic intervention 
  • A love of learning and teaching, and a desire to improve your practice 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other providers 
  • Physically able to perform job responsibilities (active movement, lifting up to 40 lbs., must be able to move from the floor to seating/standing position with ease).  
  • Ability and willingness to support individuals with severe challenging behavior (with training and support from a supervisor) 
  • Familiarity with leading teams of providers and training parents and other providers on behavior analytic principles and strategies for intervention 
  • Mode of reliable transportation 
  • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively 

Our Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years implementing ABA therapy with significant experience implementing Natural Environment Training (NET), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) or Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapy 
  • 3+ years e​​xperience supervising interventionists and/or a team of providers implementing programming and treatment plans in home or school settings 
  • Familiarity and experience working in homes, schools, and community settings 

Salary and Position Type

Pay: $80,000 - $88,000.00 per year
