Work Environment

You will work onsite at our assisted living facility, surrounded by a team of professionals who share your passion for providing exceptional care to the elderly and individuals requiring assistance. Our environment is structured to support your growth, offering flexible scheduling options that include day shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM, overnight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM, and rotating weekend duties. We guarantee round-the-clock support from our dedicated administrative and clinical staff, ensuring a collaborative and safe working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Responding promptly to resident calls for assistance by monitoring signal lights and bells, to meet their immediate needs.
• Assisting residents with daily activities such as grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, and incontinence care, always with compassion and professionalism.
• Providing nutritional support by obtaining food trays and assisting residents with feeding, ensuring their dietary preferences and needs are met.
• Implementing care plans, performing range of motion exercises, and supporting mobility by assisting residents in moving to wheelchairs or activity areas.
• Taking and recording vital signs, temperature readings, and monitoring food and fluid intake and output to maintain detailed charts and reports.
• Delivering both direct and indirect resident care services tailored to their individual needs while ensuring their emotional and social needs are met.
• Maintaining communication with residents and their families regarding care updates and changes in clinical conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our resident population consists primarily of elderly individuals, some of whom may have chronic health conditions, varying degrees of mobility limitations, or cognitive challenges. Your supportive care will play a crucial role in enhancing their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Nevada.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required, along with CPR Certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
• A solid understanding of the legal and ethical implications associated with patient care.
• A friendly, compassionate, and professional bedside manner that puts residents at ease.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred. Experience in assisted living facilities or similar environments is highly valued, and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems may be advantageous.
