Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with essential daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort are upheld at all times.
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff to ensure proactive care.
• Help residents with mobility by assisting them in walking, transferring in and out of beds or chairs, and using mobility aids safely.
• Support residents during meal times by providing feeding assistance when necessary, focusing on nutrition and dietary needs, and maintaining a pleasant mealtime atmosphere.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space for each resident which contributes to their well-being and satisfaction, reinforcing health standards and comfort.
• Assist in positional changes to prevent bed sores and ensure proper alignment for residents who are less mobile.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering strong relationships that enhance the residents' quality of life.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including nurses and other specialists, to implement individualized care plans, ensuring that all actions are documented accurately and promptly in medical records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on elderly residents within an Assisted Living Facility setting who may be experiencing varying levels of independence. Many residents may have chronic health conditions or mobility issues that require regular assistance and constant monitoring. The CNA will be crucial in ensuring that each resident feels safe, valued, and integrated into the community, promoting both physical and emotional health.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from a state-recognized program.
• Current and active certification in good standing with Florida state regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrated compassion and empathy towards elderly patients, combined with a desire to provide quality care.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
