Key Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at The Nurse Hand Center, your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs—including blood pressure, body temperature, and pulse—while providing necessary updates to nursing staff.
• Facilitating patient mobility and ambulation, employing safe techniques and equipment to support patient safety and comfort.
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring that nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions.
• Maintaining a clean and organized patient environment, promoting hygiene and comfort in all aspects of patient care.
• Transferring and positioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers and enhance overall health and comfort.
• Providing emotional support and companionship, establishing trusting relationships that enhance the patient experience.
• Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, contributing valuable insights from patient interactions.
• Accurately documenting patient care activities and observations in a timely manner, ensuring seamless communication among team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will support a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, seniors requiring assistance with daily activities, and patients with chronic health conditions. Your work as a CNA will significantly contribute to enhancing the quality of life for these individuals, providing both physical assistance and emotional support.

Qualifications

To thrive as a Certified Nursing Assistant with us, candidates should possess:

• A valid and active Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
• Confirmation of being in good standing with the state regulatory agency, ensuring compliance with state regulations and care standards.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• A strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice in all interactions.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform the duties required, including lifting, transferring, and moving patients.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare role is required, preference will be given to candidates who have specific experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a home care setting. Compensation and Benefits
