JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant with hospital experience, you will be a vital part of the healthcare team, providing essential patient care and support. Utilizing core skills such as basic life support, patient service, and medical documentation, you will assist in delivering high-quality care to patients. Your premium skills in critical care experience and working with individuals in long term care settings will enhance your ability to provide specialized care. With relevant skills in inpatient care and experience with home & community care, you will contribute to the well-being and comfort of patients in various healthcare settings. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CNA Certification
  • Minimum of one year patient care hospital experience
  • CPR certification from American Heart Association (AHA) - Required

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Set up room for post op patients.
  • Deliver patient's belongings to patient rooms.
  • Orient patient to room and call lights.
  • Frequent vital signs.
  • Assist patient with their understanding of bedside exercises
  • Serves nourishment, meals, and liquids to individuals based on their diets and assists with feeding, if necessary.
  • Ambulate patients.
  • Orders & stock linen/supplies
  • Applies comfort and control devices such as binders, supports, side rails, walking-assist devices and other protheses under the direction of a licensed professional staff.
  • Assist with routine admission, transfer, repositioning, and discharge procedures.
  • Bladder scan as indicated per protocol.
  • Reports patient's status and needs to RN.
  • Answer call lights and attends to/reports patient needs.
  • Collects specimens, passes bed pans and urinal, empties and cleans drainage devices and records amount of drainage.
  • Makes occupied and unoccupied beds.
  • Maintains knowledge, participates in ongoing education, and certification requirements.
  • On-site EKG training
  • Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities
