Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with Occupational Therapists to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that align with each patient’s unique rehabilitation goals.
• Provide direct, hands-on assistance to patients during therapeutic activities, exercises, and daily living tasks, aimed at enhancing strength, mobility, and independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary and communicating observations and insights to the treating Occupational Therapist.
• Engage in patient and family education, providing information on therapeutic techniques and long-term strategies to promote optimal recovery and independence.
• Uphold ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for all patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve a diverse patient population that may include individuals recovering from surgery, trauma, stroke, or managing chronic conditions. You will help facilitate their healing journeys by employing a compassionate and tailored approach to treatment, enabling patients to regain autonomy and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
• Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Ohio.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines within the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
