Key Responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate with Registered Occupational Therapists to develop personalized therapy plans based on patient assessments.
• Conduct evaluations of patients' physical and psychological abilities, analyzing medical data to set realistic rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions, ensuring that these are in alignment with patient goals and objectives.
• Document patient progress accurately and consistently in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular consultations with the rehabilitation team to coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, equipment usage, and strategies for enhancing daily living skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic illnesses, and patients experiencing post-traumatic rehabilitation. Your compassionate approach will help empower patients, many of whom are seeking to regain independence in their daily activities after experiencing significant challenges.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Ohio.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, and their families.
• A patient-centered mindset, demonstrating empathy and commitment to quality care and improving patient outcomes.
• Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining documentation, adherence to protocols, and following ethical guidelines.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and adaptive technology, including assistive devices and progressive therapeutic exercises.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a hospital or structured rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other documentation systems.
• Previous experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 60,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
