Job Description
Position Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role & Department: CRNA in the Surgical Services Department
Hours & Shift: Full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift position, Monday through Friday scheduled shifts with on-call responsibilities
Role Responsibilities:
- The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) practices in an advanced nursing specialty providing anesthesia services in a variety of settings as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team
- Upland Hills Health CRNAs are independently responsible for anesthesia services they provide
- Services provided include surgical anesthetics, sedation for invasive or painful procedures; response to emergency situations, and provision of analgesic services as requested and appropriate
- CRNAs must be able to plan for and provide appropriate anesthesia services for all ages and physical classifications
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have a four-year baccalaureate degree in nursing with licensure to practice nursing in the State of Wisconsin
- Completion of an accredited program in Anesthesia
- Successful completion of the national board exam and certification in Anesthesia
- Certification and evidence of re-certification every two years through the Council for Certification of Registered Nurse Anesthetists
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Have the ability and willingness to effectively administer current and safe anesthesia in an autonomous/solo environment
- Current regional anesthesia technique proficiency
- Ability to communicate exceptionally well (verbally and written).
- Continued interest in professional growth through attendance of continuing education, in-services, and participation in professional organizations
- Membership in professional organizations preferred
- Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not required
