Job Description

Job Overview The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Clinical Pharmacist in the Federally Qualified Health Center Division. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months. We participate in the following HRSA Loan Repayment Programs: National Health Service Corp and the Bureau of Health Workforce.

This position will work a 4/10 schedule. The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for management of patients in a primary care clinic setting through a collaborative model that includes clinic providers, resource specialists, and coordinators. This includes disease state management, dispensing medication, patient education, optimization of drug therapy regimens, and other initiatives designed in collaboration with clinic providers and staff.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Training: PharmD degree from an accredited college or university in Pharmacy, AND two (2) years as a practicing pharmacist or completion of a pharmacy residency within last five years; clinical setting preferred, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience: Clinical experience in managed care, communicable disease management, health prevention, and promotion with particular focus in HIV, or equivalent desirable . License or Certificate: Nevada State Board of Pharmacy licensure as a pharmacist. Valid Nevada driver's license, or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment and have a satisfactory driving record is required.

Valid C.P.R. certificate, or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment. Completion of FEMA Incident Command System training, (100, 200 and 700), within six (6) months of employment
