HSS a private, non-profit community resource agency founded in 1973, providing confidential COA-accredited services in Monroe County seeks a full-time Clinical Support Staff.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK:

Directly relates to the Support Staff Manager for administration, routine projects, special projects, and basic program issues. 


Clinical support staff play a vital role in mental healthcare by providing essential support to professional counseling staff and ensuring smooth client care. Responsibilities vary but often include tasks like assisting with patient intake, maintaining medical records, coordinating appointments, as well as completing clerical duties in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.


ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF POSITION DUTIES:

  1. Handle incoming calls, walk-ins, and "contact us" emails
  2. Meet with clinical supervisor weekly to review waitlist
  3. Designate what intakes require immediate attention from crisis team, who to put on wait list, and who to refer out. 
  4. Complete screenings for intakes, enroll new clients into EHR system, etc
  5. Completes program assignments: data processing and filing.
  6. Maintain OAS List to ensure treatment plans are completed before expiration
  7. Completes state-required data input and maintenance for respective program(s).
  8. Completes support staff assignments.
  9. Serves on agency committees as opportunities arise.
  10. Backup duties for other secretaries/receptionist(s).
  11. Be able to independently load insurance and fee shares into CIS.
  12. Other duties as necessary or related to the successful completion of other stated position duties, or as mutually agreed

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED equivalent 

- A minimum of one year of clinical/healthcare experience 

-  Microsoft suite skills: excel, word, pdf editing



Employee must have: a normal (or correctable) range of hearing in both ears for answering phones, using Dictaphone and radio transmission; the ability to climb small ladder for filing; the vision correctable to 20/20 in order to operate computer, see files and other miscellaneous reports; the ability to carry files and office equipment with a 15 pound maximum and the ability to be able to maneuver around equipment, clients and other obstructions.
