The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients, under orders from a physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment, relieve pain, and improve movement and function. The Physical Therapist participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing support and information within the area of Physical Therapy.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9-5. You may also work four 10-hour shifts.
Salary: $72,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience
Duties
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy, to address pain and mobility issues.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and medical terminology in compliance with clinic standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients in both outpatient settings and home community care environments.
- Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid Colorado license as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and physical therapy techniques
- Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation practices is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism
You will see 1-2 patients per hour.
Two years of experience is preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply!
