SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides regulatory oversight and ensures the nursing and C.N.A. needs of Pueblo Diversified Industries are professionally supported in a caring manner. The RN supports PDI’s Day Program, Residential Program, and Administration.  

PDI is looking for a positive, energetic RN to take care of our clients like family.

 

Work with parents, caregivers, and stakeholders to develop required protocols for people served· Supervise PDI C.N.A.s providing basic care and support for PDI participants and staff· Manage professional nursing services, coordinating various aspects of care for people served by PDI· Implement, and provide, and oversee training for Qualified Medication Administration Professional (QMAP) designation for PDI staff and community members· Implement, provide, and oversee gastronomy tube (G-tube) and jejunostomy tube (J-tube) training· Implement, provide, and oversee CPR/First Aide training for PDI staff and community members· 

 

Analyze health information relating to people served by PDI and make recommendations accordingly· Complete, submit, and maintain annual HRC recommendations to the Community-Centered Board· Manage health screenings for people served by PDI according to established guidelines.· Provide health-related education and advocacy to various stakeholders involved in the person’s life· Develop health-related policies and procedures relating to employees of and people served by PDI· Attend meetings and support interdisciplinary teams (IDT) as needed· Refer people served by PDI to other staff or services for a variety of developmental, social, and mental health support· Act as a liaison between various stakeholders· 

 

Support PDI’s Workers' Compensation insurance program· Provide professional assistance with emergencies· Work closely with the PDI Residential team to provide care as appropriate for those people served in PDI’s Residential program· Monthly medical appointments and prescription reviews for participants in PDI’s residential program· Monitor medication and medical protocols with routine status reporting for PDI’s host homes· Perform abnormal involuntary movement scale (AIMS) screening not less than twice annually for people served by PDI· Responsible for disposal of medications as required· Create, maintain, and review monthly medication administration Records (MAR)· Facilitate PDC pharmacy enrollments for HH residents as requested, conducting prescription and MAR monitoring, verification, reconciliations, and distribution to appropriate Host Homes· Complete monthly in-person visits to host home participants and providers, including MAR inspection· 

 

Works with PDI leadership to support a safe environment for PDI staff and people served and note trends or areas to be assessed, updated policy and procedure as required· Manages medical-related equipment that is maintained on-site at PDI and performs or recommends, as appropriate, maintenance, service, and calibration· Maintains the inventory of medical supplies and first-aid kits· Performs quarterly file reviews and quality assurance as it applies to medical care and treatment for continuity of care· Is willing and able to be on call twenty-four hours per day every day of the year for medical support to people served in PDI’s Residential program including but not limited to hospital visits and primary care appointments as required.· Vehicle usage: This position requires you to drive a personal or PDI vehicle on a PDI business. You must have a current and valid driver's license for this position.
