Maine Veterans' Homes - Augusta is currently accepting applications for our next CNA class. By enrolling in our CNA program, you will gain an invaluable introduction into the healthcare industry, while providing high-quality care to our Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents.
The CNA class begins September 15, 2025, and runs through November 12, 2025. The class provides a combination of classroom instruction and clinical experience. Graduates who pass the Maine CNA competency exam may qualify to pursue full-time or part-time 2nd and 3rd shift employment opportunities at MVH-Augusta.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read at the 10th grade level and pass a written English exam demonstrating this.
- Requires proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to understand and respond to residents' needs and inquiries in English is required.
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
- Basic computer skills
