Members of our line/sandwich making team are expected to have some BOH experience with either sandwich making experience or food prep or line cook experience. Experience working with meat slicers a PLUS
Positions available include both part time and full time and the ideal candidates will have open availability- being available to work a variety of shifts to meet the business' growing needs including days and weekends. Shop hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11am-6pm.
Duties
1. Sandwich Preparation:
A genuine passion and knowledge for food hospitality
Prepares all food orders to Polpetti quality standards
Set-up, Break-down, Cleans and stocks work area
Preps ingredients for recipes
Proven experience in a fast paced fast casual dining environment
Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, and FOH staff
Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
Wrap menu item such as sandwiches, hot entrees, and desserts for serving or for takeout.
Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
2. Customer Service:
Greeting customers warmly and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Taking orders accurately and efficiently, often using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
Educating customers on menu items, making recommendations, and upselling specials
Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy
Building rapport with regular customers and fostering customer loyalty.
3. Cleaning and Maintenance:
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, countertops, and seating areas.
Cleaning and maintaining coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure proper function and hygiene.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Restocking supplies and inventory as needed.
4. General Operations:
Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy periods.
Following all company policies and procedures.
Potentially assisting with other tasks, such as stocking retail merchandise, working the front counter and helping with deliveries and cleanliness
