Location: Webster, NY
Our team of healthcare providers is looking for a Psychoanalyst who specializes in the mental health of adults and children. The responsibility of a Psychoanalyst is to provide talk therapy aimed at rooting out psychological problems rooted underneath a person's conscious actions.
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 per year + benefits
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation to determine treatment or course of therapy that is likely to be most helpful in their case.
- Diagnoses a patient with a specific disorder or mental condition to guide their treatment and instruct other healthcare team members as to what treatments are effective for their patient.
- Engage in talk therapy with a patient for any amount of time to provide treatment.
- Maintain confidentiality to protect their patients.
- Recommend hospitalization for the protection and care of the patient if necessary.
- Keep records of each session to help guide the treatment plans for every patient.
- Conduct research in terms of case studies or experiments and publish them to add to psychoanalytic scholarship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in psychiatry or osteopathic medicine
- Obtain certification from The American Psychoanalysis Association and accredited institutions offering psychoanalysis programs
- Experience in providing therapy and counseling services
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong ethical and confidentiality standards
