This position is based in our outpatient office located in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida. Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, including clinical interviews and psychological testing, to gain a thorough understanding of each client's concerns and treatment needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and each client’s personal goals, integrating a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Offer ongoing counseling and therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused interventions, and family therapy tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Regularly monitor client progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHRs), documenting client sessions and progress meticulously to comply with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
Engage in continuous education and professional development to stay updated on the latest advancements in psychology and fulfill ongoing licensure requirements.
Adhere to ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and obtaining informed consent for all therapeutic interventions.
Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness, enhance understanding, and reduce stigma associated with seeking psychological help.
The primary focus of our psychologists is to provide individualized care to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our diverse clientele may present a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted licensure as a psychologist in the state of Florida.
Proven theoretical knowledge and practical experience in various evidence-based therapeutic methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering effective collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to demonstrate cultural competence when working with a diverse patient population.
A minimum of two years of post-doctoral experience in a clinical setting is preferred, with expertise in areas such as child psychology, trauma therapy, or couples counseling being highly desirable. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and electronic health record systems is also advantageous.
