Work Environment

The position is situated within a school facility in Fort Worth, TX, where mental health services are integrated into the student support system. You will work closely with educators, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and effective care. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet the needs of students and families, including potential evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to gauge students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
• Collaborate with educators to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual student needs, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions within the school environment, addressing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.
• Administer, interpret, and report on psychological tests and assessments, facilitating clear communication of results to parents and teachers.
• Engage in crisis intervention for students in acute distress, providing immediate support and referrals to additional resources as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
• Keep abreast of the latest research, innovative therapeutic techniques, and tools in the field of psychology to enhance professional competence.
• Mentor and supervise psychology interns or doctoral students by providing training and oversight during their clinical practice.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to promote collaborative care and share insights on student progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents in a school setting, who may be facing various mental health challenges. Qualifications

• A doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and active licensure as a psychologist in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on child and adolescent mental health.
• Strong foundational knowledge of psychological assessment tools, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic approaches.
• Proficiency in diagnosing mental health conditions and formulating actionable treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.

Compensation and Benefits
