Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine diagnoses and create tailored treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring proper monitoring and follow-up for efficacy and side effects.
• Deliver ongoing psychiatric treatment, including therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based practices relevant to children's and adolescents' mental health needs.
• Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and the broader treatment team to devise and execute comprehensive treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss individual case progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with all health regulations and ethical considerations.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay informed on the latest psychiatric research and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on youth and adolescents within a school setting. The psychiatrist will address a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and trauma-related conditions. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical institution.
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in California.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.

Compensation and Benefits
