Position Overview

Galaxy Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to join our multidisciplinary team in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time, onsite role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality psychological services in an outpatient office setting. Work Environment

Our welcoming outpatient office is designed to provide a calm and supportive atmosphere for both clients and staff. As a full-time psychologist, you will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient schedules. This may include some evening or weekend hours for clients facing constraints in availability. Our team thrives in a collaborative space, regularly engaging in interdisciplinary case conferences and team meetings to enhance treatment approaches and ensure consistent care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth psychological assessments to evaluate clients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, utilizing both standardized measures and clinical interviews.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic techniques, adjusting as necessary based on client progress and feedback.
• Provide high-quality psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties.
• Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests to assist in accurate diagnostics and guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support, ensuring safety and effective triage to appropriate community resources when necessary.
• Maintain meticulous and contemporaneous documentation of all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with advancements in psychological research and practices through workshops, seminars, and literature.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to psychology interns and doctoral students, fostering their development as emerging professionals in the field.
• Participate actively in case discussions and attend administrative and clinical meetings to contribute to the ongoing improvement of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure to practice as a psychologist.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting with demonstrated proficiency in psychological assessment and treatment.
• Thorough knowledge of contemporary psychological theories, assessment techniques, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic relationships.
• Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, valuing the experience and perspectives of colleagues from various disciplines.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and general computer applications pertinent to clinical practice.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds will be viewed positively. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and specific therapeutic modalities, such as CBT or DBT, is also desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and includes opportunities for performance bonuses.
