Work Environment

This is an onsite position at our outpatient office located in Brownsville, Texas. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with a primary focus on both quality patient care and the professional development of our staff. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming them warmly, ensuring they are comfortable, and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms by preparing all necessary instruments and dental materials for appointments.
• Ensure strict adherence to sterilization protocols and maintenance of all dental equipment and operatories.
• Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and adequately stocked, proactively managing inventory levels.
• Assist dentists during procedures such as restorative work, extractions, and other treatments, ensuring smooth operations and patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients by answering questions about treatments and providing detailed oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Perform coronal polishing and take various types of digital radiographs, including periapical, bitewing, and panoramic images.
• Utilize CBCT scanning technology and operate the Cerec 3D scanner and milling unit for precise restorations.
• Assist in the administration of nitrous oxide sedation under the supervision of qualified providers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to order necessary clinical supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Utilize dental software (Oryx) for documentation, scheduling, and patient record management.
• Engage in office tasks such as appointment scheduling and rescheduling, ensuring an organized patient flow.
• Conduct laboratory work, including pouring models and fabricating whitening trays as needed.
• Participate actively in continuous learning initiatives and team meetings to stay updated on best practices in dental care.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license is required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a dental assisting role is preferred but not mandatory as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 40,000 to 60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
