Key Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, sterilizing, and arranging dental instruments and treatment rooms to maintain an efficient and safe environment for dental procedures.
• Assisting dentists during a variety of clinical procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
• Supporting the production of radiographs (X-rays) and managing accurate digital patient records using our electronic health records (EHR) system.
• Monitoring patient movement and positioning throughout dental procedures to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Preparing and restocking necessary supplies for various dental treatments to ensure the team is fully equipped.
• Opening and closing the dental clinic, which includes setting up dental chairs and ensuring all instruments and equipment are in order for the day’s procedures.
• Following infection control protocols and guidelines rigorously to ensure a sterile working environment.
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and providing clear post-treatment care instructions that support their recovery.
• Actively communicating with patients and fellow dental team members to ensure accurate and effective information exchange.
• Recognizing and responding swiftly to emergency situations, ensuring patient safety is maintained.
• Performing additional duties as required by the dental team to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
