This role is based onsite at our outpatient office in Lorain. Key Responsibilities

• Establish trust and maintain strong relationships with team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Lead a team of Dental Assistants and other dental professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
• Diagnose and treat various dental cases, including preventive, restorative, and emergency procedures.
• Engage in continuous education opportunities hosted by the organization to enhance your skills and maintain clinical excellence.
• Provide compassionate care to all patients, regardless of their socio-economic background, ensuring everyone feels valued and respected.
• Communicate effectively with other General Practice dentists and clinic leadership to align on patient care strategies and office culture.
• Utilize Open Dental software for efficient patient management and seamless clinic operations.
• Promote and adhere to safety protocols, instilling a safety-first mindset within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve treating patients of all ages, from children to adults. You will have the opportunity to work with the pediatric population, performing procedures such as fluoride treatments and sealants. Your ability to provide comprehensive care will contribute to better health outcomes for families in our community.

Qualifications

• Current dental license in the state of Ohio is mandatory prior to beginning employment.
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution.
• Ability to become credentialed with Medicaid is essential for this position.
• A genuine interest in ongoing career development and expanding your dental skill set.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience is not a strict requirement, a minimum of two years of clinical experience in a dental practice is preferred.
• Familiarity with Open Dental or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
