Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during treatment procedures, ensuring that all instruments are available and that patients are comfortable throughout their visit.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing tools and equipment, and ensuring that all surfaces are disinfected prior to patient care.
• Welcome and prepare patients for their dental examinations, creating a warm and reassuring atmosphere.
• Conduct dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, processing and developing images to help in treatment planning.
• Support dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals by handing instruments and providing chairside assistance.
• Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate records within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and discuss post-treatment care to ensure their ongoing oral health.
• Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to keep the office fully stocked.
• Educate patients about proper dental hygiene habits and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming dental models, as needed.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities, including billing and insurance processing, to ensure smooth office operation.
