Work Environment

The role of a Certified Dental Assistant at Oral Fix Dental is based in our Silverthorne outpatient office, known for its friendly atmosphere and commitment to patient safety. You will work onsite alongside a passionate team of dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff, all focused on delivering top-tier dental care. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in various dental procedures, adhering strictly to departmental policies and guidelines.
• Engage with patients and guardians, explaining procedures and addressing their concerns while modeling compassionate customer service.
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready before patient appointments.
• Effectively manage patient flow, greeting and escorting patients, helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
• Maintain sterile working conditions by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment according to the protocols of the Sterile Processing Department.
• Assist the dentist during procedures, anticipating the needs of the dentist and the patient by retracting tissues, maintaining a clear field, and managing behavior with pediatric patients.
• Perform radiographic functions, including exposure and processing of digital dental radiographs under the direction of the dentist or hygienist.
• Accurately document each patient's visit in our electronic medical records system (Epic) and dental software (Dentrix), ensuring compliance with protocol.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, and adults. You will be trained to adapt your approach to various age groups, making each appointment a pleasant experience while focusing on creating trust and addressing dental anxiety effectively. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Completion of a dental assistant training program is preferred, although relevant experience will be considered.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant is required.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a dental office setting, preferably within a pediatric practice.
• Proficiency in managing dental insurance verification and explaining benefits to patients.
• Familiarity with tools of the trade, including digital radiography equipment and dental software systems like Dentrix.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 40,000 to 60,000, commensurate with experience.
