Key Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose communication disorders using established assessment tools and methodologies, tailoring evaluations to each patient’s unique needs.
• Design, implement, and monitor personalized therapy plans that integrate evidence-based practices, focusing on enhancing speech, language, and communication skills.
• Provide direct therapy services in both one-on-one and group settings, fostering an engaging atmosphere to encourage participation and progress.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining comprehensive records to support ongoing treatment planning and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate across disciplines to develop holistic care strategies that address not just communication needs but overall developmental and health goals.
• Participate in patient, family, and caregiver education, empowering them with strategies and resources to support progress outside of therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Speech-Language Pathologist will primarily work with children and adults facing various communication challenges, including but not limited to speech delays, language impairments, and cognitive-communication disorders. Our patient-focused approach emphasizes building strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families, ensuring that every individual feels heard and supported.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, particularly with a focus on early intervention and communicative disorders.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engagingly connect with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pediatric therapy settings, particularly focused on early intervention practices.
• Knowledge of standardized assessment tools and therapeutic modalities specific to communication disorders.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation effectively and efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

Summit Pacific Healthcare Center offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a supportive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
