Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist - School Setting

AeroFit Wellness & Physical Therapy is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team in Beaverton, Oregon. Work Environment

This role is situated on-site in a school environment, where you will collaborate closely with educators, physical therapists, and other health professionals to create a cohesive and supportive infrastructure for our students. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while making a profound impact on the lives of students in your care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for each assigned student to assess and identify speech-language pathology issues, adhering to established clinical pathways and best practices.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs and goals of each student.
• Regularly re-evaluate treatment plans to ensure continued effectiveness, making necessary adjustments based on progress and feedback.
• Engage families, caregivers, and other stakeholders in the treatment process through education and collaborative goal-setting.
• Participate in educational clinics, professional meetings, and departmental committees aimed at improving service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Assist in the training and supervision of interns and new staff members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
• Support organizational initiatives by embracing changes within our educational and healthcare delivery systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with students facing a range of communication challenges, including but not limited to speech disorders, language delays, cognitive-communication impairments, and social communication difficulties. Your compassion and dedication will be essential in helping these individuals improve their speech and language abilities, enhancing their educational experience and social interactions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Clinical Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice Speech Pathology in the state of Oregon.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Strong foundational knowledge and proficiency in assessment and therapeutic techniques for children with speech and language disorders.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a school or pediatric setting, with demonstrated competence in providing therapy for motor speech, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Experience with educational settings is particularly beneficial, as it enhances your capability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and videofluoroscopic swallow studies is a plus, as these skills will streamline documentation and assessment processes.

Compensation and Benefits
