Work Environment

This position is offered onsite at our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility, where team collaboration and innovation are at the forefront. You will be working closely with other healthcare providers, including nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities designed to improve their communication skills and swallowing safety, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Document treatment sessions meticulously, ensuring accurate records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and modifications to care plans.
• Implement and adjust treatment strategies in response to patients' evolving needs and provide progressive challenges in their rehabilitation journey.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on integrated approaches to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve typically include individuals recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and neurodegenerative disorders, as well as elderly individuals experiencing age-related speech and swallowing difficulties. Your empathetic approach and commitment to patient dignity will be crucial in restoring their communication abilities and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• An active Oregon SLP license.
• Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in a skilled nursing or similar rehabilitative setting.
• Demonstrated mastery of therapeutic techniques for speech and language disorders, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or related healthcare environment is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 75,000 and 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a rewarding salary, our benefits package includes:
