Greet and welcome patients and their families, establishing a friendly connection to ensure a positive experience from the outset.
Manage the registration process for new patients by accurately collecting and verifying their personal and insurance information, ensuring a smooth flow upon arrival.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar, showcasing flexibility to accommodate patients' needs and preferences in both regular office hours and occasional evening or weekend shifts.
Respond to incoming calls promptly, providing patients, families, and visitors with accurate information regarding services, appointment details, and facility navigation.
Coordinate internal and external referrals to ensure patients receive necessary follow-up care, demonstrating an ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain required authorizations for medical services, preparing patients for any out-of-pocket expenses.
Process patient payments, including co-payments, in accordance with established protocols to maintain accuracy and accountability.
Maintain electronic medical records (EMRs) by updating data and ensuring integrity, contributing to efficient patient flow and streamlined operations.
Work closely with medical and support staff to resolve any patient issues promptly, ensuring minimal wait times and enhancing overall patient satisfaction.
Support administrative functions such as organizing patient documents, filing, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a strong foundation in customer service or healthcare administration preferred.
Previous experience in a front desk role within a healthcare setting is mandatory, allowing you to bring existing knowledge of medical office operations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are crucial; you will interact daily with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated organizational skills and proven multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems as well as basic medical billing and coding practices is highly beneficial.
A solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
