Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week. On-site with the ability to travel to satellite clinics as required.

General Purpose of Job/Summary:
We are seeking a patient centered, detail oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience. Front Desk Representatives are responsible for the checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, uploading patient information, verifying insurance, and collecting payments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors into the medical office with a smile and warm welcome.
- Create an easy and thorough check-in and check-out processes for patients.
- Respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, enlisting assistance of fellow team members when necessary.
- Schedule appointments, scans, and tests for patients according to physician instructions and patient needs.
- Gather and record accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
- Scan all documentation received from patients, physicians, and team members into the patient’s Electronic Medical Record.
- Verify insurance eligibility through electronic resources.
- Collect patient’s out-of-pocket liability: co-pays, refraction fees, prior balances, etc.
- Manage Front Desk office inventory and equipment through the inventory control system.
- Work-up charts prior to appointment to ensure necessary prior authorizations were obtained.
- Assist ill or distraught patients as needed.
- Maintain neat and orderly patient areas: coffee bar, waiting room, and restrooms, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Must be willing and able to regularly travel to satellite clinics.
- At least 1 year of patient care experience/customer service experience (or equivalent) required.
- Preferred: Associate degree or higher; medical clinic experience; bilingual.

Visual acuity sufficient for computer work, reading printed materials, and processing patient documentation is necessary.
Work is performed in a climate-controlled medical office environment with moderate noise levels and frequent interruptions. Frequent travel to satellite clinics is required.
