Northwestern Medicine Glenview Outpatient Center is seeking an experienced Histology Tech for a MOHS Surgery Laboratory supporting skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Position Highlights:
• Day Shift Schedule
• 24 Hours Per Week
• No Weekends
• No On-Call
• Northwestern Medicine Facility
• Adult Patient Population
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 Year of Histology Experience
• Illinois License Required (must be active at submission)
• MOHS Surgery Experience Required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Histology Certification Preferred (HT/HTL-ASCP)
• Experience with Tissue Processing and Frozen Sections
Preferred Qualifications:
• HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) Certification
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Science or Biological Science
• Immunohistochemistry Experience
• Tissue Processing Experience
• Molecular Laboratory Experience
Required Skills:
• Embedding and Microtomy
• Frozen Section Preparation
• Cryostat Operation
• Skin Tissue Embedding Techniques
• H&E Staining
• Slide Preparation and Mounting
• Tissue Freezing Methods
Patient Population:
• Skin Cancer Patients
• MOHS Surgery Laboratory
