Holistic Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Care Aide to join our dynamic team in Reno, Nevada. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our participants in the comfort of their homes. Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, where you will provide services in clients' homes across the Reno area. Our full-time work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability required to meet the needs of our participants. Working in a home care setting means you will be in a variety of environments, adapting to unique family dynamics and home conditions, which further enriches your experience as a health aide.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Home Care Supervisor, maintaining open lines of communication regarding clients' needs and care plans.
• Assist participants with essential daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Support participants with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), which include laundry, light housekeeping, and grocery shopping, promoting independence.
• Measure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature) as per care plans, playing a critical role in monitoring participants' health.
• Facilitate light meal preparation and assist with feeding, ensuring all participants receive proper nutrition and hydration.
• Aid in safe transfers in and out of vehicles during medical appointments, acting as a medical escort when necessary.
• Collaborate with the Rehabilitation team by implementing home exercise programs tailored to participants’ rehabilitation needs.
• Provide translation services as required, enhancing communication and understanding for participants and families you serve.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our participants are diverse, spanning various ages and medical conditions. Many require assistance due to chronic illnesses, mobility limitations, or age-related challenges. By being attentive to their individual needs and preferences, you will play an integral role in not just meeting their daily care requirements but also in fostering a sense of community and comfort in their lives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the home health care field or a related occupation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Registration with the Home Care Registry before the start date is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred to better serve our diverse participant base.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $30,000 to $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
