Summary: The HR Generalist – Training & Safety will assume comprehensive responsibility and accountability for managing and overseeing all aspects related to company-wide training programs, onboarding processes for new employees, offboarding procedures, and safety program administration. This role plays a crucial part in bridging existing gaps in employee development initiatives, compliance training requirements, and safety protocols by actively ensuring that all training sessions and safety-related records are meticulously maintained. Additionally, the HR Generalist will verify that the organization consistently meets all relevant regulatory and legal requirements, thereby fostering a safer and more compliant workplace environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage the onboarding and orientation processes for new hires. Supervise employee offboarding to ensure compliance and consistent experience. Organize and monitor all company-wide training programs. Manage Master Control and ADP training assignments, ensuring they are completed on time and meet compliance standards. Lead biweekly group training sessions and support additional management training as needed. Keep detailed records and documentation of all training activities.
Safety Program Administration
Manage safety programs, manuals, and documentation for the company. Facilitate safety committee meetings, record minutes, and track follow-up actions. Coordinate and report on safety meetings and incidents. Ensure continuous compliance with regulatory safety requirements and reporting standards. Collaborate closely with Production leadership to support and oversee safety practices on the production floor.
HR Generalist Functions
Provide support and guidance for employee relations, manage HR policies and procedures, ensure HR compliance and reporting, assist with performance management processes, and participate in other HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Education: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Language Ability: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Spanish and English
Some knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Mechanical Measurement required
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Employees in this role may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate noise levels.
