Job Description: The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department. This role provides administrative support, including record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, and assisting the HR Manager with recruiting candidates.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS
- Help with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons.
- Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires.
- Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information as needed
- Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface
- Make sure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential.
- Completes e-verify and maintains existing I-9 files.
- .Coordinate training and Learning Management courses.
- Work with supervisors to ensure required training renewals are completed before expiration.
- Support any other special projects the HR manager needs assistance with
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in HR work
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required, some college prefered
- Background check required
Compensation:
$19-$22hr
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Environmental and Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and move around the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs

- Physical capacity to teach multiple classes a day
- Exposure to airborne chalk dust
- Yoga: Ability to perform various yoga poses to demonstrate proper alignment and technique.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources recruiter position
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
- Strong skills using Google Suite
- Experience using HR software and HRIS databases
- Ability to work with ATS software
- Familiarity with social media recruiting and job fairs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality and discretion.
