Benefits & Compensation Analyst
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefits & Compensation Analyst to join our client's Human Resources team. In this role, you will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of the company's compensation and employee benefits programs. You will ensure programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals while providing exceptional support to employees and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze compensation data and conduct market salary benchmarking
- Maintain salary structures, pay grades, and compensation programs
- Support annual merit increases, bonus planning, and compensation reviews
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, wellness, and leave programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit and compensation inquiries
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits regulations
- Audit payroll deductions and benefit elections for accuracy
- Prepare compensation, benefits, and HR analytics reports for leadership
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure accurate employee data and reporting
- Maintain HRIS records and assist with system updates related to compensation and benefits
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
- 2+ years of experience in compensation, benefits administration, or HR analytics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, UKG, SAP, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to compensation and employee benefits
Assignment Details:
- Contract to hire role
- Onsite role
- Located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego
- Compensation: $30.00-$41.00 per hour DOE
- Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
