Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, public administration, or a related field. 36 months or more experience in professional personnel management. 12 months or more experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity. OR Completion of a working testing period as a Personnel Specialist II or a Personnel Assistant III. 36 months or more experience in professional personnel management. 12 months or more experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Key Responsibilities
• Serves as the Leave Administrator for the Central Office, managing the processing of special leave cases
such as FMLA, State Employee Injury Compensation, Military Leave, etc.
• Manages the performance appraisal and annual raise processes for Central Office employees in
accordance with departmental and State Personnel policy, procedures, and guidelines.
• Manages all Central Office employee personnel actions so that transactions and related paperwork are
submitted in accordance with departmental and State Personnel policy and procedures
• Supervises the Personnel Specialist performing the technical aspects of the performance appraisal and
personnel transaction processes.
• Performs annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting requirements, including annual Statement of
Economic Interest notifications, annual longevity counters for Central Office employees, suspicion less drug screening reports, and monthly service pin distribution for employee service recognition
• Manages the purchasing process of supplies and equipment for the Central HR Office.
• Verifies licenses of Central Office employees in RN and Psychologist positions and certifications of
Behavioral Analyst positions based on the renewal schedule.
• Serves as the point of contact to resolve personnel transaction issues in the Human Resource
Management system.
• Serves as custodian of all personnel records.
