Human Resources Generalist / Senior HR Generalist
Salary $70,000 - $115,000 + Bonuses + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Pacific Northwest
We are seeking a proactive, independent Human Resources professional to manage daily HR operations, employee relations, and strategic programs for our manufacturing workforce. Acting as a trusted consultant to both employees and management, you will drive compliance, safety, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities for this HR Generalist -
- Labor & Employee Relations: Administer collective bargaining agreements, manage union grievance processes, investigate harassment/discrimination complaints, and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Safety & Compliance: Manage workers’ compensation claims, oversee drug and alcohol testing, and support OSHA audits and internal safety programs.
- Talent Management: Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, performance management, training programs, and succession planning.
- HR Operations: Administer EEO/Affirmative Action plans, compensation/salary structures, leave administration, and employee benefits.
- Strategic Partnership: Act as the official media contact and support continuous process improvement across safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Minimum qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience in a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
- Labor Skills: Demonstrated experience in union contract administration, grievance resolution, and pre-negotiation analysis.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, independent decision-making, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with HR software/PC tools.
