Position Summary
A Place At Home is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented People Coordinator to lead the Human Resources functions for our Hot Springs office.
Essential Responsibilities
Recruit, interview, and onboard office staff and caregivers.
Coordinate orientation, training, and ongoing professional development.
Maintain employment records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Maintain audit-ready personnel files and employment documentation.
Support employee relations, coaching, performance management, and annual performance reviews.
Coordinate employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
Manage Workers' Compensation claims, return-to-work coordination, and workplace safety documentation.
Partner with office leadership to promote a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
Maintain confidentiality of all employee information.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
After-Hours On-Call Responsibilities
This position participates in an after-hours on-call rotation.
During assigned on-call periods, you must be willing and available to:
Answer or return phone calls within 15 minutes.
Coordinate after-hours staffing by contacting clients and caregivers to fill open shifts.
Respond to reports of client or caregiver incidents, injuries, emergencies, or other urgent situations.
Exercise sound judgment while making independent decisions and following company policies.
Remain available by phone throughout your assigned on-call period and accurately document after-hours activity.
Qualifications
Required
Two (2) or more years of experience in Human Resources, employee relations, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related field.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. (Not required, but a plus.)
SHRM-CP, PHR, or other Human Resources certification. (Not required, but a plus.)
Experience in home care, healthcare, or senior services.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (Apploi preferred), schedule system (WellSky preferred) HRIS platforms, or learning management systems.
Experience with Workers' Compensation administration.
