Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive insurance credentialing and re-credentialing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to insurance carrier guidelines.
• Engage with healthcare providers, office personnel, and insurance representatives to gather required documentation for credentialing.
• Maintain and update provider information in relevant credentialing databases, ensuring that records are consistently accurate and available for audits.
• Monitor and manage the timely renewal of credentials, licenses, and certifications, proactively identifying and addressing upcoming expirations.
• Stay informed about evolving insurance regulations, policies, and practices to ensure compliance and facilitate proper billing procedures.
• Address and resolve credentialing discrepancies with insurance providers, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and escalating issues when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments like billing and medical records to ensure smooth claims processing and reconciliation.
• Assist in preparing reports and analyzing data related to credentialing trends and outcomes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical office insurance credentialing, ideally in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Proficient understanding of insurance credentialing processes, including applications, verification, and follow-up actions.
• Knowledge of various insurance plans, payer requirements, and key regulatory standards such as CAQH, NCQA, and Joint Commission.
• Experience with credentialing software and databases, such as Cactus or IntelliCred.

Compensation and Benefits
