Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - Outpatient Setting

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation:  $80,000 to $100,000 + Benefits

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field and be licensed as a LMFT in the state of Maine (or eligible to become licensed in Maine).
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting (preferred but not required). Experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of presenting issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality, empathetic care to clients and committed to fostering a safe, non-judgmental space for healing.
  • Ability to engage with clients in a meaningful way and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple clients, and an understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ emotional, relational, and behavioral concerns.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs, personal goals, and best practices.
  • Providing individual, couples, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
  • Facilitating psychoeducation groups to help clients understand mental health, coping strategies, and relationship dynamics.
  • Collaborating with other clinical staff to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies, insurance requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Participating in case conferences and ongoing professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
