Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Gotham Enterprises Ltd, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via secure video chat platforms, utilizing therapeutic techniques to enhance clients' mental health.
• Facilitating discussions with clients to explore emotions and experiences, helping them gain insights into themselves and their interpersonal relationships.
• Acting as a client advocate, collaborating closely to establish and define therapeutic goals tailored to their unique situations.
• Assessing clients' mental conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing solution-focused approaches based on your clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with screened stable adults experiencing low-acuity mental health issues. This focus allows you to apply evidence-based therapeutic strategies effectively while contributing positively to clients’ quality of life. Your role will be pivotal in supporting clients as they navigate their mental health journey.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York; provisional or limited licenses will not be accepted.
• The ability to make professional evaluations and effectively formulate treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy and a caring nature.
• Proficient computer skills to navigate our digital tools and platforms.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome all qualified candidates, preference will be given to individuals with:

• Prior experience in remote counseling or teletherapy, demonstrating an understanding of virtual communication skills.
