As a fully remote position, the role of an LMFT at Gotham Enterprises Ltd allows for flexibility, offering the ability to create your own schedule while maintaining a work-life balance. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental and emotional health to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
Facilitate individual therapy sessions with clients of all ages, addressing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
Lead couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication and conflict resolution skills to strengthen relationships.
Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on client progress, ensuring that therapeutic goals align with clients' evolving needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for clients.
Provide crisis intervention and support in emergencies, demonstrating the ability to respond effectively to clients in acute distress.
Engage in ongoing professional training to stay current with industry trends, innovative techniques, and best practices relevant to marriage and family therapy.
Advocate for clients and assist them in navigating additional resources and services that may support their mental health journeys.
Encourage self-care practices both for clients and yourself, promoting emotional resilience among clients and therapists alike.
Your work as an LMFT will involve providing therapy to a diverse client base ranging from adolescents facing the challenges of adolescence, adults managing life transitions, and couples striving to improve their relationships. You will address a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, ensuring empathetic and thoughtful care tailored to individual circumstances.
A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board of New Jersey is essential.
A minimum of two years of experience in individual and/or couples therapy is preferred.
Proven experience in working with both children and adults is highly valued.
Strong skills in completing comprehensive client assessments and documentation promptly and accurately.
Excellent writing and communication skills are crucial, including proficiency with electronic health record systems.
Experience in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy methodologies.
Background in crisis intervention and emergency support strategies.
