Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, providing you with flexibility in your scheduling and work location. You will join a supportive outpatient team that regularly collaborates via telehealth platforms while participating in virtual team meetings. Our outpatient office in Baltimore serves as a base for the organization, but this role allows you to work primarily from home, promoting a healthy work-life balance while ensuring accessibility for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients, ensuring to create a safe and trusting environment for open communication.
• Facilitate couples therapy, guiding partners through techniques to improve their relationship dynamics, such as conflict resolution and effective communication skills.
• Engage with families in therapeutic settings, addressing key topics like parenting strategies, family dynamics, and crisis intervention to strengthen relationships.
• Develop comprehensive and personalized treatment plans, informed by initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of client progress.
• Assess and diagnose mental health disorders using DSM-5 criteria and other relevant methodologies to inform clinical decisions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus encompasses a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting challenges, and more. We also support clients from various backgrounds, including different ages, sexual orientations, and cultural identities, ensuring that our therapeutic approaches are culturally sensitive and inclusive of all clients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Maryland is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, showcasing your ability to work effectively with couples and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to connect with clients empathetically and professionally.
• The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or Family Systems Therapy.
• A background in crisis intervention and treatment planning.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, our benefits package includes:
