Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Valley Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments of individuals and families to identify mental health issues, relationship dynamics, and familial conflicts.
• Design and implement tailored therapeutic interventions for couples and families, addressing concerns such as grief, loss, job stress, and blended family dynamics.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions alongside couple and family therapy, helping clients navigate complex emotional and relational challenges.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and therapies, ensuring adherence to clinical excellence and ethical standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our digital health records system, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance collaborative care and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including adults, children, and adolescent populations. Our focus is on addressing a wide range of mental health issues such as:

• Alcohol abuse
• Interpersonal conflicts among family members
• Grief and loss
• Adjustment difficulties related to separation and divorce
• Communication issues and relational strain in blended families

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills in a counseling context.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are desirable:

• Experience working with a diverse population and addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
