Hackensack Mental Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our committed team. Key Responsibilities

• Establish strong, trusting relationships with patients to foster a safe environment for open communication.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and relational issues.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient, taking into account their unique circumstances.
• Conduct regular counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and tools, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), to guide treatments.
• Perform ongoing assessments to monitor patient progress, adapting treatment plans based on these evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer clients to specialists when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage in continued professional development to stay updated on the latest practices and techniques in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working primarily with diverse individuals and families, many of whom face challenges related to mental health disorders and relational difficulties. Qualifications

• A valid and active LMFT license in the state of New Jersey.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a similar field.
• Specialized training or relevant experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for addressing substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to motivate and support clients in their journey towards recovery.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration with colleagues and connect with patients effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a strong foundation in marriage and family therapy is required, preference will be given to candidates with additional experience in utilizing multimodal therapy techniques or those who have worked with underserved populations. Knowledge of telehealth platforms and remote therapy practices will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
