Work Environment

This role will primarily be remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours while still offering the opportunity to engage with clients meaningfully. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for each client, taking into account their unique psychological and relational needs.
• Provide brief individual therapy sessions, continuously evaluating progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers in a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring an integrated approach to mental health.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and stay informed on emerging trends in pain psychology to optimize therapeutic approaches for clients dealing with chronic pain and trauma.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy, health, and safety regulations.
• Engage in professional development and participate in training sessions to enhance therapeutic skills in coaching and counseling.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients, establishing trust and open communication to facilitate improvement in mental health and emotional well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals, couples, children, and families. Familiarity with chronic pain and trauma populations is essential, and an integrated therapeutic approach to these matters will be viewed favorably as you provide care.

Qualifications

• A valid California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required, accompanied by a Master’s degree in a related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services, specifically in a health-related setting, is mandatory.
