Work Environment

The work setting for this therapist position is onsite at our well-equipped Community Health Clinic located in the heart of Bethlehem. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of your clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health status.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Providing one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and interventions.
• Facilitating discussions that encourage clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, fostering self-awareness and insight.
• Acting as an advocate for clients by helping them set and achieve their personal goals.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and share insights on client progress.

Clients may include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship issues. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A valid and unrestricted license to practice independently in the state of Pennsylvania as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• No provisional or limited licenses accepted; candidates must have a clean disciplinary record.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
• Proficient in utilizing technology for teletherapy and documentation. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be advantageous:

• Previous experience working with diverse adult populations.
• Familiarity with various treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.
• Previous experience in a community mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits
