Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team at our Community Health Clinic located in Downers Grove, Illinois. This full-time, onsite role, set at 30 hours per week, focuses on providing essential mental health services to children and adolescents in a school-based environment. The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000 per year, alongside robust health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children and adolescents, fostering emotional and behavioral growth in school, home, or clinic settings.
• Conduct thorough assessments by gathering and analyzing information concerning students’ personal circumstances, social environments, and psychiatric history to identify immediate needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and external service providers to develop comprehensive service plans, ensuring that students receive holistic, multi-faceted care.
• Document all sessions, evaluations, and progress notes in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with Medi-Cal standards and maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Actively engage in regular staff meetings, in-service training, and professional development workshops to enhance skills and knowledge tailored to best practices in mental health counseling for youth.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary case management conferences to coordinate care and address complex challenges faced by students and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position targets a diverse patient population comprising children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. The counselor will employ culturally-appropriate, strength-based approaches to ensure that every child, regardless of background, feels supported and empowered in their journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral science field.
• Current licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD) is required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of full-time experience in providing mental health counseling, psycho-social assessment, or case management services within public or private mental health settings.
• Experience working collaboratively in a school environment, understanding specific educational policies, and procedures related to mental health initiatives.
• Bilingual/Bicultural candidates are preferred and will receive additional compensation as noted in job offer details.

Compensation and Benefits
