Licensed Practical Nurse

At Ability Beyond Barriers, our Residential Services LPNs provide hands-on, person-centered nursing care in home-like community settings—supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and brain or spinal cord injuries.

As a Residential Services LPN, you are a vital part of an interdisciplinary team focused on health, safety, dignity, and community inclusion. Your work will include:

• Providing person-centered nursing support aligned with Individual Service Plans
• Administering and overseeing medications and treatments within LPN scope
• Monitoring health status, recognizing changes in condition, and escalating concerns appropriately
• Coordinating and participating in medical appointments and care transitions
• Supporting infection control, nutrition, and environmental safety in residential settings
• Training and coaching Direct Support Professionals on health-related protocols
• Completing accurate, timely nursing documentation to meet regulatory standards

This position is designated as an Essential Employee, ensuring continuity of care during emergencies and inclement weather.

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing Program
• Current South Carolina LPN license in good standing
• Experience in residential, long-term care, or I/DD services preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between residential sites
